The crash was first detected around midnight, affecting Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure. According to Downdetector, over 37,000 users reported issues with Outlook, while another 24,000 users experienced problems with Microsoft 365. Additionally, around 150 reports indicated disruptions in Microsoft Teams.

The outages primarily impacted users in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as noted by Downdetector. Many frustrated users also took to social media to share their difficulties accessing Outlook and other Microsoft services.
