Google has launched a new experimental tool, Career Dreamer, designed to help professionals explore career opportunities using artificial intelligence. The company shared this information with its partners.
Career Dreamer analyzes a professional’s background, skills, knowledge, and interests to suggest suitable career paths. The service enables users to create a “career identity” based on their selected workplace, experience, and skills. This profile can be used to generate resumes or prepare for interviews.
How Career Dreamer Works
The tool presents a visualized map of possible career paths. For instance, if you’re interested in becoming a singer, you can access detailed insights about the profession. Additionally, with the help of Gemini AI, users can create motivation letters or explore alternative job options.
However, Career Dreamer does not function as a job listing platform like Indeed or LinkedIn. Instead, its primary goal is to help Swedish professionals quickly explore various career development opportunities without spending excessive time on searches, notes NIX Solutions.
Availability and Future Prospects
Currently, Career Dreamer is available only in test mode in the U.S. It remains unclear whether Google plans to expand access to other countries, yet we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
According to Google’s report to the World Economic Forum, the average person changes jobs 12 times in their lifetime, while Generation Z workers may switch up to 18 jobs across six career paths. The company believes Career Dreamer will help professionals understand how their existing skills can be applied to new professions.
